It was a cracker of a day and a lunchtime walk up Blackford Hill saw a really great view of Edinburgh Castle and the hills of Fife behind. The black basalts of the volcanic plug that the castle sits on are clearly visible. After the serious exercise and the strong wind I was surprised this picture was sharp!Monday, 5 November 2007

It was a cracker of a day and a lunchtime walk up Blackford Hill saw a really great view of Edinburgh Castle and the hills of Fife behind. The black basalts of the volcanic plug that the castle sits on are clearly visible. After the serious exercise and the strong wind I was surprised this picture was sharp!
