Portobello, Edinburgh
A sparkling wall of sandstone buildings on Portobello sea front.
The name, 'Portobello' is derived from 'Puerto Bello', a port captured during Admiral Vernon's campaign against the Spaniards in 1739. A retired sailor, George Hamilton called his house after Puerto Bello and the name seemed to stick!
