The avid blog watcher will have noticed a drop in posts this last week -the wandering photographer seized-up and could hardly move for several days.

Last evening on Skye

So, we have arrived at the last evening on Skye, for about 20 seconds a hole appeared in the heavy clouds and a great shaft of light shone down... it soon closed and was gone!

Bealach na Ba... Applecross road

This was taken on the way down

Gnarled tree, Applecross

Who could resist an old gnarled tree...

Deer, Applecross

Bealach na Ba

After we found Eilean Donan closed for the day, we decided to go to Applecross - most of the hills were in swirling cloud - here is the famous Bealach na Ba - well, it would be if you could see it! The road goes into the cloud in the centre of the picture and then UP!

Eilean Donan Castle

The most photographed castle in Scotland. It was a wet day so we decided to do something inside... like visit Eilean Donan Castle... fortunately it was shut so I saved a few quid... went and took a free photo of the castle on a drizzly day with low cloud.
