Uttershill Castle dates back to the 16th Century now of course a ruin but ideal for winter images at dawn!

The sea
Seeing an image of a exotic balmy sea (hi Lu!) inspired a trip to the beach! First I had a problem getting out of the car. Winds up to 50 mph meant it was a great struggle with the car door - once outside the wind and rain blew straight at the wandering photographer plastering the lens.... hmmm a new technique is required - back to the wind, clean lens, swing round rapidly and shoot one image blind before more rain on the lens... and here it is!

Auchencorth Moss
As you can see from the way the snow is stuck to the trees that snow in Scotland falls horizontally and usually at high speed :-)
